We begin by conducting a detailed consultation with the client to understand their vision, requirements, and budget for the project. This involves gathering information about the project's purpose, desired functionality, aesthetic preferences, and any specific constraints.
Once the client approves a design concept, we refine it further by creating detailed drawings, visualizations, and 3D models. We collaborate with structural engineers and consultants to integrate systems and address technical challenges. We prepare comprehensive construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
We assist the client in selecting a reputable contractor and act as a liaison during the construction phase. We monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and resolve any issues. We visit the construction site regularly and facilitate effective communication between the client and the contractor.
After construction is complete, we conduct a final inspection to ensure the built project matches the design intent. We address any outstanding items and deficiencies in collaboration with the client. Once satisfied, we facilitate the handover process, providing all relevant project documentation, warranties, and maintenance instructions.
Stones Construction is delighted to be able offer both design and build services all under one roof. Let us take on the day to day administration of your planning permission and construction project, leaving you stress-free.
So why have the Stones Group handle the construction or technical design stage of your project? The benefits are twofold. Not only are we able to streamline the build process for you with our in-house expertise, but by it’s very nature our process places a secure control on your budget. This is achieved by a carefully crafted programme of work which includes the cost at every stage of the build.
The programme and Schedule of Work are the essential elements which ensure there is a tight control on costs. Our take on the importance of this stage is that the biggest cost saving to clients comes from proper professional planning led by an experienced team. Any issues are therefore picked up and addressed at this, the technical design stage, namely on paper. In our experience, this is much more economical than attempting to resolve issues on site without a plan.
